INGREDIENTS:
•1 small carrot - peeled and diced
•6 tablespoons Heinz tomato sauce
•1 tablespoon Lee Kum Kee soy sauce
•2 tablespoons vinegar
•1 tablespoon First Choice sugar (small)
•1 tablespoon sherry or water
•1 dessertspoon cornflour
•1 small tin Dole pineapple pieces (can use unsweetened)
•1 First Choice small onion – chopped
•Small amount of chopped cabbage (optional)
METHOD:
1.Place all ingredients apart from cornflour, in a medium size
saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer for a few minutes.
2.Mix cornflour with a little cold water until smooth and add to
saucepan. Stir in until it thickens then simmer for another minute or two.
3.Remove from heat and pour over cooked meat or fish and serve with either steamed or fried rice.
